A Customers Testimony to a Recent Mooneyes EFI Installation
This car is fast! The Mooneyes EFI was well worth the money. I'm a
slow learner, but once I figured out how to use the keyboard to adjust
the CPU based on the LEAN/RICH knob it all came together. As Rusty
Wallace would say, "I got me a top five hot rod". A couple
of gliches included running out of gas after countless test runs and
forgetting to put a lock nut on the idle adjustment screw. Also, trying
to dial in the correct mixture at altitude was trial and error. I
have an Army Corp certificate showing that my shop is at 6700' exactly.
I want to check fuel mileage and run the car up the hill to Purgatory
to see how easy it is to dial in the right mix at 10,000'.
You can see the MAP sensor and fuel regulator on the firewall above
the sprint car steering box. I used #6 AN fittings and braided fuel
line.
The CPU is on the firewall in the passenger footwell.
I put a check in the mail for a 6.5 B-F head today!
