This picture was taken IN 1978 at OCIR(Orange County International Raceway) when I was hanging around there every Wednesday and Saturday with Chico.
A ’57 Chevy with sun in back and chrome steel wheel with narrow Drag Slicks, Crager S/S on front was in the pits while it’s crew wearing "Black T-shirts" was getting ready for the race. Nobody would expect what was to happen later to this car(Not even me).
Then as pictured in snap shots 2,3&4 suddenly it happened!
It crashed into the side wall, rolled on it’s side leaving the car in total damage, however amazingly, the driver was safe. That’s because the proper safety was used. The guy in black T-shirt seems to have suffered a sudden headache though. This unfortunate event was a reality that cannot be undone. If the driver is safe from such a fine car being built as in this case then "Man, no one knows what’s going to happen to me!"
Step on the gas all the time, full throttle!
