I have been worried lately about our location around Mooneyes USA because of recent sightings of Graffiti.
In some areas nearby we have seen instances of Graffiti but to this day MOONEYES USA (MUI) has been lucky and escaped this criminal act. We thought perhaps the taggers just missed us.
The MOON Equipped shop in Tokyo had no Graffiti on it even though nearby business were plagued by it, but finally MUI got tagged.
This Eyeball sign is more than 40 years old and it used to be set on top of building for long time but was moved in 1992 with order by the city of Santa Fe Springs to set back the building to meet code. The MOON Equipped Logo which was under this Eyeball is now used in the MOON Garage at Honmoku, Yokohama, Japan.
I’ve tried to maintain what Dean Moon has left by taking good care of things he has left but their are people with no heart in any country. The two people who spray painted were arrested by Police but we will still have to paint the wall and the Eyeball may need rebuilding, I couldn’t help getting angry. And of course I doubt I can get them to pay for the repair.
